The work is the word-and-punctuation sequence, “Mosquitoes fly into the three-colored harbor: yellow, red, blue. And no one (blue) says (yellow) anything (red).” The sequence can be reproduced in any way imaginable: materially, vocally, psychically, etc.
Ten percent of the gallery’s end of the sale of this work will be donated to Food Bank for New York City.
From the artist:
If the work sells, I will donate the entirety of my share to the Workers Justice Project COVID-19 Jornalera Relief Fund. This is in no way meant to upstage the thoughtful donation the gallery will be making on their behalf. I have little to no overhead; there are no production costs on my end; I’m not (yet) hurting from the current economical fallout. I’ll also be launching an online platform, INVENTORY, in the coming week in hopes of assisting artists, art workers, and others adversely affected by the viral sinkhole.
