YOUR VOICE WHISPERED IN ME
DEEPER AND DEEPER, ENCORE
YOU TOLD ME, ENCORE
WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU ALL WINTER
WE COULD HEAR YOUR VOICE IN YOUR HEAD AS YOU READING THESE WORDS
SO MANY WINTERS
YOUR VOICE WHISPERED IN ME
KEEP DIGGING, KEEP DIGGING DEEPER AND DEEPER….
DIG DEEPER, DIG DEEPER
YES CLOSER
YOUR FEET ARE GETTING WET
BUT YOU SAID
HAVE A CIGARETTE
WE NEEDED YOU TO TELL ME
WHY DONT YOU USE YOUR IPHONE

In Melting into one another, ho hot chaud it’s heating dip Kunsthalle Lissabon’s underground exhibition space is completely transformed going deeper than it can. Step by step, slithering down the stairs the space gradually fills elements that give life to an immersive installation at the crossroads between a show chaud and Hot liquidity.

Digging into our forgotten subcountious, with a fee broken tentacule, the room will feel you, Laure Prouvost continues in the Kunsthalle Lissabon her journey, that began in the Acqua Alta of Venice, into the subconscious of all of us through the folds of our ecosystem. Accompanied by the constant flow of the water and by the repetitions of tents and tentacles, step by step we metaphorically immerse ourselves in a liquid reality to investigate the origin of or planet end of or selves. Pixels are floating on the liquid floor, tentaculaire pixels gathering is holding and owning the floor, spreading across the space tin the hope to touch you.

Laure Prouvost’s work has often focused on creating surreal environments through video, sound, installation and performance in which dreams and reality merge through natural elements and humour. Miscommunication, sensations, imagination and elements from daily life becoming reliques are some of the ingredients the artist melts together to create situations playing with ancestral memories and triggering all the senses.

Laure Prouvost is a French artist who currently lives in a trailer in the Croatian desert, by the Black Sea. She lives and works deep down 5 steps further than you were told, and currently based in Lisbon, Belgium. She practices making video, boobs, sounds and tea cups, objects and installation. Here a long list of museums and institutions. A line, interesting things, a coma, a line, a list of residencies and prizes. A Selection of solo projects including: a Deep See Blue Surrounding You in Venice, a Waiting Room with objects in Minneapolis, a New Museum for Grand dad in Milano, A tearoom for grand ma in Derry, a karaoke room in Brussels, a new octopus ink vodka bar for Gregor in Rotterdam, A travel agency for an Uncle in Frankfurt, a lobby for love among the artists in the Hague and Luzern… tea bags, and wet floors and tentacles.
