Love Streams, expands through different periods of time and states the importance of our personal interactions with the ones who are part of our lives. People who might be our direct relatives or what Rosalind calls the “extended family” the ones we ́ve chosen to accompany us in this exciting life journey.
Love is here just another manifestation of life which is beautifully transformed under Rosalind ́s remarkable sense of the extra-ordinary, capturing with precision the feeling of what it might be “the real”. It is impossible not to feel this beauty and even elegance while also being punched in the face by the extraordinary vibrance of her paintings and drawings. This is immediately perceived in the presence of Rosalind ́s family and friends in some drawings from the beginning of the 90s and other made very recently.
Love Streams connects eye and mind through different channels and show us how important the bonds created among natural related individuals are, and how these relationships give a new life to the work of the artist. A mention apart deserves how this power is manifested trough Rosalind ́s own children, and specially through her daughter Pauline Manacorda, whose soul and physic impregnates her work as a strong source of inspiration and love.
In fact Love Streams is a family show, at least is the way I conceived it. The sense of community created around all of us is strong and somehow brings a new energy which is clearly visible through the intense beauty of the works made by Rosalind Nashashibi.
